Verified through a sale on AliExpress and not the Orange Pi Website, two tiny systems are have been upgraded and given a larger RAM Size.
In truth I do not know much about the Orange Pi R1, I do have and use the Orange Pi Zeros that I have: 2 Orange Pi Zero 265MB and 2 Orange Pi Zero 512MB. The Orange Pi Zero is an amazing little machine for its size and power. And priced under $10 to compete with the Raspberry Pi Zero which at the time sold for $5.
Now Aliexpress is selling the Orange Pi Zero+ and the Orange Pi R1 Plus, both with 1GB of RAM. Even the Orange Pi H3 and H5 Zeros (enhanced with the H3 and H5 CPUs) only came with 512MB.
Unfortunately, the prices are out of range of what they are supposed to be for a low cost system: As I can see, the Orange Pi R1 Plus is $36 and the Orange Pi Zero+ is $28; both with about $8 shipping and handling. Seeing the other systems on the Aliexpress Website, Everything has been raised in price from $5 to $10 in price. Whether this has to do with the "Chip Shortage" that is going on or the BS China is pulling on the international market and political theater, remains to be seen. Even in these inflated prices, it is still within an affordable price. We will have to see what tithe market can bare.
But with additional RAM of up to 1GB, these tiny systems will be capable of doing more, which is a benefit to all those who uses them.
