According to this fellow on the O-Pi group, he has/found an Android for the O-Pi PC which is easy to set up. Download the image, uncompress it, and use Win32DiskImage to burn it on an SD. Don't need Phoenix SD Card Burner to install it! According to him, everything works on it!
https://www.facebook.com/groups/1483270805309190/permalink/1730455747257360/ Android has been hell to set up on ANY SYSTEM as it needs to have several partitions, and for the Pie Systems you need Phoenix Burner to do the partitions for you and put in Android into the SD in the correct partition. It takes about an hour (or less, depending on your system) to do this!
The site he is promoting is in Russian and the way it is set up, Google Translate can not touch it! But I managed to find the file and down load it. I will post up the link on this thread in a day or two for you to download as needed. It is about 360MB compressed in 7Zip format. Uncompressed, I'm guessing that it will balloon to 1.3 or 1.4 GB. Don't know if it is in English or not, but from the reactions of the other users on the group, it looks like it is. Android from the Orangepi.org website is in Chinese though you can switch to English if you know where to go, but it also needs Phoenix SD Burner to install it.
They say it runs on the O-Pi PC, it might run on the O-Pi One and O-Pi Lite, with a slight chance that it might run on the O-Pi Zero. The thing is this - The O-Pi PC has 1GB of RAM, while the others are 512MB and with Android being a memory hog, it might be slower on those other systems.
Making an image that works with Win32DiskImage saves major headaches. I will be testing it when I have time and upload it to the site for you to download. Watch this thread for updates.
Lets see how this goes.
