Orange Pi released another Orange Pi Zero board, the Orange Pi Zero Plus. What is it? It's an H5 (Quad Core 64 Bit) version of the O-Pi Zero. But don't they have an H5 O-Pi Zero already?
Here is the twist:
The O-Pi Zero Plus 2 comes in either H3 (Quad Core 32 Bit CPU) or H5 (Quad Core 64 Bit CPU) for $19 and $20 respectively. They come with: HDMI, Camera Port, Wifi & Bluetooth and 1 USB Port on the board, 3 USB ports with the expansion module.
The O-Pi Zero comes with H2 (Quad Core 32 Bit CPU) in either 256MB or 512MB. It has 10/100 Ethernet, 1 USB Port, and Wifi (but no Bluetooth). It does not have HDMI Video Out, or a Camera Port. The Expansion port will give it composite video and 3 USB Ports. They go for $7 for the 256MB version and $9 for the 512MB Version.
However, the H5 O-Pi Zero Plus comes with the H5 (Quad Core 64 Bit CPU) - no Duh! But it comes in the O-Pi Zero format: Ethernet, Wifi (With BlueTooth!), and 1 USB Port but no HDMI or Camera Port. With the expansion port, it has Composite Video Out and 3 USB Ports. So imagine a O-Pi Zero (512MB) with an H5 CPU instead of the H2, and Bluetooth, and you would have the O-Pi Zero Plus. It goes for $15.
Strangely, looking at the specs, it uses a Mali HEXA-CORE Mali 450 GPU! Six Videocores for animation and frame rate that is DAMN!!!! The O-Pi Zero (H2) only a Dual Core Mali 400 GPU and other O-Pi systems use either the Mali 400 Dual Cores or the Mali 450 Dual Cores or Mali 450 Quad Cores. This is a first in using 6 cores! For use on a system, I can only see this for high end emulation of arcade and system consoles, or for Bit Coin Mining!

urce-development-board-beyond-Raspberry-Pi/1553371_32760774493.html I asked why no H3 version of this system? I was given the response in that there is no performance difference between the H2 and the H3 CPUs systems. If that's true then why they have a H3 version of the O-Pi Zero Plus 2 and not an H2 version of it? No answer as of yet.
