Transferring Files from PC or Mac to R-Pi
Dec 3rd, 2015, 11:55pm

This is best if you use the GUI/Windows in Rasbian as it just makes it as mouse moves instead of "DOS" commands through the terminal...

I'm talking about Good Old Fashion "Sneaker Net."

You will need:
- PC or Mac with Files you want to transfer.
- USB Thumb Drive formatted in Fat32 (MS DOS)
- Raspberry Pi you want to transfer the files to.

Step 1 - organize the files you want into a folder.
Step 2 - Put in the USB Thumb Drive into your Mac or PC. Wait for it to come up.
Step 3 - with the cursor, Grab the older with the files from the PC or Mac and drag it into the Thumb Drive.
This will take a while to copy all your files.

Step 4 - Eject or Drag to the Trash the Thumb Drive Icon, and wait for the LED on the Thumb Drive to stop flashing before you pull it out.
Step 5 - Like Step 2, put the USB Thumb Drive into the Raspberry Pi. Wait for it to come up.
Step 6 - Open the Thumb Drive's Window and find the folder with your files.
Step 7 - with the cursor, Grab the folder and drag it to your desktop or other folder.
This will take a while for your files to copy.

It's just like copying files on MS Windows and Mac OS/OSX. Only difference is that the windows and icons look different on the Raspberry Pi and things are treated a bit differently but the functions are the same.
