Theft!

Dude, I heard you had your bank info stolen. I imagine they bought gas with your cash.

I have now waved goodbye to the chipped mug of capless and corporate-logoed biros and rollerballs on my desk, and in their place the Cross resides alone, a writing weapon to be taken seriously, a latter-day Excalibur (though mightier, obviously, because it's a pen) that I shall wield daily in my tireless quest for legible, joined-up truth.

no, actually it was an Ipod and skin care products. I got that card stopped and a new one is in the mail. they had me file a claim on the money and said they will get it back for me. this time it was only $280. last time it was paid to a fake company for cash and I never got it back and that was $600. I only know one person who has that info besides me, but I just can't see them doin' that to me, but i've bveen wrong 'bout them before.

Well the cowboy, like the red man, you had to leave your land
You can't raise your stock and plant your crop in the gumbo and the sand
Greed disguised as progress has put us to the test
They won't be glad until we're gone from our home out in the west
It's sad to see those good old days replaced with greed and doubt
Soon we'll leave the country, the campfire has gone out
Bid 'em all adieu, you can't turn the world about
The cowboy left the country, the campfire has gone out

They must not have had access to your check card info for long if that's all they bought. I always thought that credit card thieves would buy money orders with the card and then cash them in elsewhere for cash.

not if its who i have a bad feelin' it is. even so if a small time operator with no real clue got it, some how they might be stupid enough to use it like this too.

You don't seem like the sort to keep company with riff raff; what gives?

I'm not, generally. I know a few things and keep my ears open, but the truth of the matter is if it is this person, no one would suspect them normally. I can't say anymore until I know more.

As we discussed, this is the work of something personal. Why buy items when you can get cash? That is where the clues lie.

Both you and I believe as to who it is. Its going to be unfortunate for them because of the new anti-ID Theft laws that are recently put into place...

It's possible they were just being an idiot and bought the items with the card number out of convenience.

if it was someone else, like another persons first time with no clue, then yes, but the stuff bought and the timin' play a big roll. I keep thinkin' on it and I find more evidence in my thoughts on whom I have suspicion, but until it is proved I'll not say who. I really can't give out why I think this. I could have already messed up the investigation by postin' this, of which I didn't think of at first. I hope not but you never know.
