To my Friends . . .
May 25th, 2008, 2:09pm

To my Friends here and to those who just put up with me, which should take care of most of you, I have to appologize. I've been mopin' and in it generally makin' a pest of myself ion it. i'm havin' a bad time, personally, but unlike other times in my life I have been able to keep it to myself and bear my own burdens. I have failed to do that this time and have made myself look bad and i fear annoyed some that I did not want to annoy. I am sorry for that and ask all y'alls forgiveness. Your prayers in this for me and this situation, that I really can't go into, would be appriciated. It has been a black time for me in my life and has left me in an equally black mood, but I must forget the past and move on. unfortunately some past cannot be forgotten and some pain never leaves. Scars are always there, whether inside or out to remind us. Why I say all this is just to explain as best I can with what I feel I can. I realized how bad I've been soundin', to one person particular like and he knows who he is, especially after i heard this one song. http://www.jibjab.com/view/150392
I am determined to keep my troubles more to myself now and not let the forces this world has thrown at me tear me down or rule me. I have resolved to press on, if only out of shear meanness, and make a difference where and when I can , even at my own expense.
I will not say what the problems are at this time, just pray, please. an unspoken, as it were, for God's will to be done and for strength to strengthen those who need it.
For those of you who have been 'round since I have and want to know more, listen to bi-monthly bluegrass #3. if you don't understand one of my biggest hardships as of resent then don't worry 'bout it

Well the cowboy, like the red man, you had to leave your land
You can't raise your stock and plant your crop in the gumbo and the sand
Greed disguised as progress has put us to the test
They won't be glad until we're gone from our home out in the west
It's sad to see those good old days replaced with greed and doubt
Soon we'll leave the country, the campfire has gone out
Bid 'em all adieu, you can't turn the world about
The cowboy left the country, the campfire has gone out

Hondo,
You have to do your best, even if you fail because in just trying is what makes you a man. But the attempt must be made. I know you can do it, so try your best.

I'm afraid I don't have a clue as to what you're on about, but you'll pull through it.

I have now waved goodbye to the chipped mug of capless and corporate-logoed biros and rollerballs on my desk, and in their place the Cross resides alone, a writing weapon to be taken seriously, a latter-day Excalibur (though mightier, obviously, because it's a pen) that I shall wield daily in my tireless quest for legible, joined-up truth.
