The Rose and I
Jan 9th, 2008, 11:49pm

Well, I keep sayin' I'm a gonna do this and still have not, so here it is. i know it matters not a lick to most of you, nor is it your business, but i can't help but share this with y'all. WildIrishRose and I have been courtin' now for 2 months. We've been talkin and became friends back in august and we realized we truly love each other.  we have no dates set yet, but Lord willin' and Father permittin' we plan to take this all the way. we'll update y'all if there are updates and we feel like it.

Well the cowboy, like the red man, you had to leave your land
You can't raise your stock and plant your crop in the gumbo and the sand
Greed disguised as progress has put us to the test
They won't be glad until we're gone from our home out in the west
It's sad to see those good old days replaced with greed and doubt
Soon we'll leave the country, the campfire has gone out
Bid 'em all adieu, you can't turn the world about
The cowboy left the country, the campfire has gone out

I remember her. She seemed like a wonderful girl.  Smiley

I thought she was dating RR, though?

I have now waved goodbye to the chipped mug of capless and corporate-logoed biros and rollerballs on my desk, and in their place the Cross resides alone, a writing weapon to be taken seriously, a latter-day Excalibur (though mightier, obviously, because it's a pen) that I shall wield daily in my tireless quest for legible, joined-up truth.

yes, I have. We may not see eye to eye, but i think that could be worked out if they would be willin'.  Rose and I may not get anywhere, I don't know, only God does and until he tells me and them its a stale mate.

Well, you've got more fortitude than RR. Miss Rose and he broke up more or less because of her parents from what I was told.

That is partly true. you have to hear both sides, but it was part of it.

We are on shaky ground right now and I'm not all to sure why. it could be parents, but for now, to me, its an unseen enemy.

I can't hear both sides; to be frank, RR refuses to speak to me for some reason and the female hasn't been around anywhere that I'm allowed to frequent in a while.

It probably is her parents, but there's no need to plant the seeds of resentment where none need grow. Try and talk to her about it. :3

too late i'm afraid. I'm pretty sure its her folks still, but she dumped me and says no hope for gettin' back together or fixin' the "problems" she has with me which I still have no clue 'bout. I'm really broken up over this, but Life goes on and I must find a way to go on alone.
