1. Personal Attacks. You will not post anything that is defamatory, libelous, unnecessarily antagonistic, or an invasion of privacy or violation of the rights of another user, person, or party. Discussions about religion and politics are allowed as long as they are civil. If you do not agree in the discussion and cannot offer your positions in a non-attacking manner then do not participate in the discussion.  
 
2. Posts and Art. You will not post anything that is obscene, abusive, harassing, threatening, unintelligible, or otherwise inappropriate, as determined by the moderators. You will not post links to pornography or erotica. Suggestive art work that is done tastefully may be allowed. Please refrain from full nudes (detailed art that shows genital areas) to avoid offending others and crossing the line of inappropriate art. If you have a question to whether something as appropriate or not allow the admin to screen it first to see if it is acceptable.
 
3. Sexually Related Discussion. You will not post anything relating to homosexuality, homosexual relationships, trans-gender relationships, alternative sexual lifestyles, or any other topic deemed sexually inappropriate by the moderators. Heterosexual relationships are to be used in stories. If you wish to participate in a story and are of other persuasions stay single. If you are of other persuasions or suspect someone else is the "don’t ask/don’t tell" policy is in place. Flaming of folks of other persuasions will not be tolerated just like flaming of straight folks will not be tolerated.
 
4. Limit Profanity. This board is intended for all ages. You will not make use of profane language. Mild terms like "(bleep)", "heck", "darn/damn/dang", "pissed off", hell, and "sucks" are not considered in violation of this policy.  Heavier language will be acceptable in certain areas for reality sake, like on the Story and Round Robin Boards. If you choose to use profanity, be wise about its use. Heavy, annoying, unprecedented use will be dealt with. The moderators reserve the right to delete, censor, or edit any posts that they feel violate this policy.  
  
5. Copyrights. Posts here or elsewhere created by an individual are their work and is protected as a copyright. Characters, devices, and story lines are their personal property. Copyrighted material from outside sites that are not works of members of the cabin may be used for nonprofit stories and posts. If characters or devices from other works are to be used often as main characters/devices proper credit needs to be given at the beginning. If the work is to be edited to be posted elsewhere credit will be required for all non-original characters/devices. Thus it is suggested that this is practiced for even small part copyrighted characters/devices. Story rewrites also need permission of the writer or writers (in the case of round robin/co-op stories).
 
6. Depictions of Characters. You will not post fan art, stories, or other works that depicts others characters without permission of the owner. Post may contain names or a situation from others works in a reference sort without permission but manipulation of their characters, works, or devices are not allowed with their permission. Permission should be given in PM or email format, should be saved by the owner and should be copied to an administrator of this forum for reference. Such posts may be removed by the moderators if deemed to be in violation of personal copy rights or agreements between copy right owner and writer using the copyrighted material.  
 
7. User Liability for Posts. You agree that you are fully responsible and legally liable for any content that is posted through the use of your username and password. Do not share your username or password with any other person.  
 
8. Avatar and Signature Restrictions. Avatars are not to exceed either 150 pixels wide by 200 pixels high, or 50Kb. Signature dimensions must be no more than 550 pixels in width, 15 lines of normal sized text in length, and are not to exceed 150Kb. Limits for signatures are also cumulative, meaning that even if you have more than one item in your signature, the cumulative dimensions for everything are not to exceed either 550 pixels, 15 lines, or a file size of 150Kb.  
 
9. Trivial Conversations/Hijacking Threads. Moderators reserve the right to delete or modify any trivial discussion that takes on the nature of a chat session. The definition of such a chat will be determined by the moderators, but could include any lengthy discussion between only two or three people, or a discussion that begins on-topic but is "hijacked" and then becomes a chat. Such practices clutter the forums, making it difficult for others to enjoy the boards.  
 
10. Video Links. Posting of links to sites exhibiting online video (such as BitTorrent and other file-sharing sites) is discouraged. Such posts will be deleted, as they represent a serious copyright violation and could be used to penalize the owner of the Cabin's server as well as the person(s) who posted. Posting links to YouTube or other online viewable, non-pornographic videos is permitted.
 
11. Selling/Buying Items. Neither public nor private rooms shall be used to sell goods or services unless a special board area is assigned by an admin for use as a "yard sale" area. If a Yard Sale board is created it shall be used for selling of personal items that are no longer wanted or needed. Selling of services and/or item kits shall be for the benefit of the Cabin members and must be approved by the admin. This is a non-profit forum payed for out of pocket by the owner, Hondo Sackett. The cabin has no say over transaction over Personal messages ans the user shall take full legal and financial responsibility over any private transactions.
 
12. Warnings. Minor violations shall be issued with warnings. Three consecutive warnings on the same matter may result in temporary to permanent banning. Minor violations include but are not limited to: inappropriate comments, inappropriate links, over use of foul language, etc.
 
13. Banning. Banning is divided up into temporary and permanent banning. Temporary banning could be from either blatant ignoring of warnings, verbal attacks or other disrespectful conduct against members, moderators or admin, and blatant copyright theft from Cabin members. Multiple temporary banning can lead to permanent banning. Threats of harm or death against members, moderators or admin will result in permanent banning along with notification of your local law enforcement agency. The admin reserve the right to determine what offenses fall into these categories.  

14. Power of Admin. The admin team is divided into two categories; administrators and moderators. Administrators have power over the whole board and determine what goes against board policies. The moderators enforce board policies but have no power to ban anyone. Moderators also only have access to edit public forums. Private ‘rooms’ will be moderated by the rooms leader. Only the admin will have power to override them. The admin retain the right to ban, refuse membership, or limit access to anyone they feel will be a detriment to the forum.  
 
15. Cookies and Private Information. Your IP address is recorded for any action you initiate on these forums. This forum system uses cookies to store information on your local computer. These cookies do not contain any of the information you have entered for your profile; they serve only to improve your viewing pleasure. Your e-mail address is used only for confirming your registration details and password (and for sending new passwords should you forget your current one). You agree to any information you enter in your profile being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.  
 
16. All Rights Reserved. You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic you create or participate in at their discretion.
