Title: Raspberry Pi 2 - Model B released and on sale!

Featuring a Quad Core CPU and 1GB of RAM at a $35 price, with 100% compatibility with the original Raspberry Pi, the Raspberry Pi 2 will be a force to be reckoned with!

On top of Linux, it will be capable of running Windows 10 when it comes out!

The Raspberry Pi Model A/A+ & B/B+ will continue to be made and supported. Great news for all who invested in the R-Pi!

Its Quad Core, so that means that it wont lock up in certain program loops (a problem I'm having with the keypad program). Plus its 900MHz, so if it like the Banana Pi, it can be over clock to 1.4GHz!

that's great news all around. Almost make my dual core cubie boards obsolete

I'm looking for a Cubie myself, but keep losing on those Ebay Auctions. Almost had one for $40.

A friend has the Beagle Bone Black and swears by it.

But for the R-Pi2 to be at $35, says something.  This is going to cause a major stir in the small computer market. I wont be surprised if all the other boards goes Quad Core by the end of the year if not by summer.

The thing that gets me is that they are saying that they made the R-Pi2 as 100% compatible to the R-Pi as possible where you can put in your old SD Card and it will boot (but some functions wont work like the QuadCore capabilities). The New OS will also run on both machines as well. This is true with Raspbian for the Banana Pi - it will run on a Raspberry Pi without modification. So with the R-Pi2, things will be th same.

I also found out that they will continue to make the Model A+ and the Model B & B+ for the next couple of years because of contract obligations. Also, Raspberry Pi was supposed to release the R-Pi2 in 2017, not now in 2015! So there something going on with the market in these things. Thing is, what?
