Title: Theft! Post by Campisi on Jun 2nd, 2008, 7:13pm Dude, I heard you had your bank info stolen. I imagine they bought gas with your cash. |
Title: Re: Theft! Post by Hondo I. Sackett on Jun 2nd, 2008, 7:45pm no, actually it was an Ipod and skin care products. I got that card stopped and a new one is in the mail. they had me file a claim on the money and said they will get it back for me. this time it was only $280. last time it was paid to a fake company for cash and I never got it back and that was $600. I only know one person who has that info besides me, but I just can't see them doin' that to me, but i've bveen wrong 'bout them before. Hondo |
Title: Re: Theft! Post by Campisi on Jun 3rd, 2008, 12:50am They must not have had access to your check card info for long if that's all they bought. I always thought that credit card thieves would buy money orders with the card and then cash them in elsewhere for cash. |
Title: Re: Theft! Post by Hondo I. Sackett on Jun 3rd, 2008, 9:10am not if its who i have a bad feelin' it is. even so if a small time operator with no real clue got it, some how they might be stupid enough to use it like this too. |
Title: Re: Theft! Post by Campisi on Jun 3rd, 2008, 4:33pm You don't seem like the sort to keep company with riff raff; what gives? |
Title: Re: Theft! Post by Hondo I. Sackett on Jun 4th, 2008, 12:56am I'm not, generally. I know a few things and keep my ears open, but the truth of the matter is if it is this person, no one would suspect them normally. I can't say anymore until I know more. |
Title: Re: Theft! Post by Fernando on Jun 4th, 2008, 1:31pm As we discussed, this is the work of something personal. Why buy items when you can get cash? That is where the clues lie. Both you and I believe as to who it is. Its going to be unfortunate for them because of the new anti-ID Theft laws that are recently put into place... |
Title: Re: Theft! Post by Hondo I. Sackett on Jun 4th, 2008, 4:34pm I still hope its not true, but your right. |
Title: Re: Theft! Post by Campisi on Jun 4th, 2008, 6:40pm It's possible they were just being an idiot and bought the items with the card number out of convenience. |
Title: Re: Theft! Post by Hondo I. Sackett on Jun 4th, 2008, 8:47pm if it was someone else, like another persons first time with no clue, then yes, but the stuff bought and the timin' play a big roll. I keep thinkin' on it and I find more evidence in my thoughts on whom I have suspicion, but until it is proved I'll not say who. I really can't give out why I think this. I could have already messed up the investigation by postin' this, of which I didn't think of at first. I hope not but you never know. Hondo |
Title: Re: Theft! Post by Fernando on Jun 4th, 2008, 9:15pm No names are mentioned, so nothing is messed up. If the culprits are right now reading this right now, then so be it- they know how they are, and they now that they #$@!ed up and not only the police will be knocking on their doors but the FBI too, since in ordering items online, they have committed fraud by wire transaction which is a federal offense. Somebody's daddy might end up in jail if he interferes with the investigation. |
Title: Re: Theft! Post by Hondo I. Sackett on Aug 27th, 2009, 11:40am I never updated this so I might as well. the transactions were made from a location by Greer SC. they would give me no further info. yes, that is where the Witch, my former unofficial fiance AKA Rose, resides. unfortunately since I turned it over to the bank first they decided to call it as a loss since it was under $500 an' not go to the police with it. I did get the money back from the bank, but no justice was done. |
