Title: Scientific Evidence for Creation
Post by WildIrishRose on Oct 10th, 2007, 9:24pm

This is a series of talks my dad has been giving at our church about Creation.  I recommend beginning with the oldest and moving to the most recent, but you don't have to listen in any order.

This is an interesting topic.  I apologise, but I haven't listened to any of your fathers' talks (I don't have a sound card on my computer here).  However, there are many scientific arguments for evolution too:

Just recently, an interesting situation was witnessed in a laboratory, where a strain of E.coli was seen evolving new and beneficial characteristics:

I think that one interesting point on this whole issue is that one side (evolutionists) took discoveries and ideas and built a non-theistic theory around it, while the other side (creationists) already have an theistic explanation and then reconcile scientific discoveries into it.  Both require a degree of faith, but it depends upon whether one favours faith in God, or faith in human reason.  Exciting stuff! :)

I can't say I'm at all a proponent of either Creationism or Intelligent Design, but there's nothing inherently wrong with clinging to the idea. After all, there's a Flat Earth Society. :p

Talkorigins.org pretty much has creationism sufficiently answered on every front I can think of:
