TYPE 1/2 Cyborgs
As defined by Elfen Magix and others
Type 1/2 cyborgs are reconstructed units which had begun as Type 1 cyborgs and had have much of their internal structures updated with Type 2 parts but still retain much of their Type 1 infrastructure and systems.
An example of this would be a Type 2 arm being used to replace a Type 1 unit, but requires modifications and retrofitting of the shoulder joint to fit the newer unit.
Type 1/2 cyborgs are rare. In the least there are at least 3 of them known to exist, with the most prodiminate one being Francesca. Claes is rumoured to be such a hybrid, but in actuality it is unknown if she is. Claes has been a testbed for cyborg parts, thus she has had Type 2 parts put into to her to test, but whether she keeps these parts or is restored to her old parts remains unclear.
Type 1/2 cyborgs need to be reprogrammed and reconditioned for their newer parts to become better accustomed to their brains. Type 1 parts are more stronger and faster and thus strength is augmented, Type 2 parts are not as strong in terms of strength or speed, and thus the brain must be reprogrammed for these changes.
NOTE:
Francesca is actually a Type 0 or Pre-Type 1 cyborg thus she would be a Type 0/2 hybrid reconstruction. Since Dr. Frankenstein's design of Francesca was ported over to the Type 1s, she had been considered as a Type 1 during her upgrade.
1/2 Cyborgs:
Francesca G. - A rebuilt prototype (Pre-First genernation) cyborg. Second generation parts were used mostly in her rebuild.
